Sourcing for Gulf and Arab businesses

German & European Supplier Shortlist

A focused selection of potential suppliers and technology partners, prepared around your commercial requirements.

Find relevant German and European suppliers

A long supplier directory is rarely enough to make a confident commercial decision. A useful shortlist starts with your market, your customers and the product or technology you need. HMA helps Gulf distributors and Arab importers turn that brief into a focused selection of German and European companies for further review.

The Partner Shortlist package is suited to businesses that know what they want to source but need support identifying plausible suppliers or technology partners. It can also help a company compare options before investing time in outreach. We agree the research scope and fees in writing before work starts.

What we need from your business

We begin with a clear description of your company, destination market, product category and intended business model. Depending on the project, useful details include technical specifications, expected order volumes, budget range, delivery expectations and your role as an importer, distributor or production partner.

For industrial machinery, the requirements may include capacity, age, configuration and available documentation. For a distribution opportunity, they may include sales channels, territory and after-sales support. These details help us distinguish between a company that looks relevant online and one worth discussing with your team.

How the shortlist is prepared

  1. Clarify the brief. We define the target market, product priorities and selection criteria with you.
  2. Research potential companies. We identify German and European businesses whose products or capabilities appear relevant to the agreed requirements.
  3. Review the fit. We consider available company and product information against your brief, documenting practical questions that still need clarification.
  4. Prepare the selection. We organize the findings into a usable shortlist with reasons for inclusion and suggested next steps.

The depth of review depends on the agreed scope and the information available. A shortlist does not replace a factory audit, independent technical inspection, legal due diligence or product-compliance assessment. Where those checks are needed, they should be identified before a purchase or partnership commitment.

Deliverables you can use

  • A written summary of the agreed sourcing brief and selection criteria.
  • A reviewed shortlist of relevant companies, with the number agreed in the proposal.
  • Company websites and available business contact information.
  • Notes on product or capability fit and material information gaps.
  • Recommended priorities for outreach and follow-up questions.

We confirm the format, company count and delivery schedule before starting. Any expansion into a new product category, additional market or deeper technical review is scoped separately, so your team can assess the extra work before proceeding.

Industries and practical experience

Our selected experience includes used production printing machinery from Germany, European organic cosmetics sourcing, EV charging partnerships for Gulf businesses, agricultural-waste processing cooperation and renewable-energy partnerships. Each assignment needs its own criteria: finding a used printing machine involves different questions from assessing a cosmetics product range or exploring a technology-transfer partnership.

In one anonymized engagement, we supported importers in the Arab region with sourcing and importing used production printing machinery from Germany. In another, we helped a cosmetics company access European organic cosmetics products and communicate with potential suppliers. These examples describe relevant experience; they do not imply that every supplier or product will suit a new enquiry.

What happens after the shortlist?

Your team reviews the options and decides which companies to approach. If you need help opening the conversation, our Partner Introductions service can support outreach to an approved list. For negotiation coordination, documents or ongoing representation, a Custom Package can address the additional work under a separate written scope.

Fees and timing

Partner Shortlist pricing is available on request. The fee and timeline depend on the complexity of the requirements, the number of companies and the depth of research. A paid Discovery Session can help establish whether your request is sufficiently defined and what preparation would make the next stage more useful.

Discuss your sourcing priorities
